Namibia | Six destinations: Windhoek, Namutoni, Okaukuejo, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Mariental & Windhoek |

Six hotels | Eleven nights

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Welcome to Namibia! Upon arrival at Windhoek Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from the car rental company and transferred to their depot to collect your rental vehicle.
Afterward, you can take an orientation city tour of Windhoek. With around 250,000 inhabitants, Namibia’s diverse capital is the largest city in the country and lies picturesquely in a basin at 1,650 meters, flanked by the Eros Mountains to the north and the Auas Mountains to the south. To the west, the Khomas Highlands stretch toward the Namib Desert and the coast. As the political and economic center of the country, Windhoek has much to offer.
Take a look at Christ Church, the boulevard and the Klein Windhoek district—and in contrast, visit Katutura, the district of the Bantu-speaking community.

Day 2: Windhoek to the Kalahari Region

In the morning, you leave Windhoek heading south, driving through the Auas Mountains to Rehoboth and onward to your lodge on the edge of the Kalahari Desert.
The Kalahari covers a large part of eastern Namibia and stretches about 500 km from north to south. Its signature is the fine, powdery red sand. On its sparsely vegetated grass plains, large herds of antelope and other animals graze.
In the afternoon, you may join an optional sundowner drive in an open 4x4 and enjoy breathtaking views over the Kalahari at sunset.

Day 3: Kalahari Region

Enjoy the day entirely at your own pace. Relax with your lodge’s amenities or book one of the optional activities available on-site.

Day 4: Kalahari Region to the Sossusvlei Region

After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues to Sossusvlei, part of a dune landscape more than 300 km long and 140 km wide within the Namib Desert.
Enjoy the scenic drive and take in unforgettable impressions of Namibia’s uniquely beautiful desert landscapes.

Day 5: Sossusvlei Region

This day is free for your own exploration. Consider joining a dune drive:
Early in the morning, enter Namib-Naukluft National Park, where the play of shadows, vast views, and profound silence will enchant you.
Explore the world’s highest sand dunes by 4x4—some reaching up to 350 meters after millions of years of wind formation.
Climb the iconic Dune 45, then continue on to visit Sesriem Canyon, carved over millions of years by the Tsauchab River. Its viewing platform offers magnificent panoramas of the 3-kilometer-long gorge.

Day 6: Sossusvlei Region to Swakopmund

Your trip continues to Swakopmund, founded in 1892 and once the main harbor of German South West Africa.
With about 18,000 inhabitants, it is now Namibia’s most popular seaside resort. The town is still often referred to as the “most German” city in Namibia.

Day 7: Swakopmund

The day is free.
Swakopmund is easy to explore on your own—its key sights are concentrated in just a few blocks.
This charming coastal town features many beautiful buildings from the German colonial era. At first glance, it feels like a small German town, with gables, stucco, timber frames, and stained glass.
The imperial German architecture of the early 1900s contrasts strikingly with the dramatic dunes of the nearby Namib Desert.

Day 8: Swakopmund to the Etosha Region (West)

Today you continue to Etosha National Park—one of southern Africa’s most important wildlife reserves.
Covering roughly 22,270 km² (about the size of the German state of Hesse), Etosha is Namibia’s largest wildlife sanctuary.
More than 144 species live here, including the Big Five (elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, and leopards), as well as giraffes, wildebeest, jackals, hyenas, and every antelope species—from the impressive eland to the tiny Damara dik-dik.
The park’s defining feature is its vast salt pan, visible even from space.

Day 9: Etosha Region

Enjoy a full-day safari in Etosha.
Start early in your comfortable rental car and explore the landscapes while looking out for giraffes, elephants, lions, and much more.
Keep your camera ready for unforgettable wildlife moments.
Guided safaris are also available on request.

Day 10: Etosha South to Etosha East

Today you leave the southern entrance of the park and drive across Etosha toward the eastern region.
This scenic route gives you excellent opportunities to spot wildlife and take in Etosha's diverse landscapes.

Day 11: Etosha East to Windhoek

You drive back to Windhoek for your final day in the capital, which is free for your own plans.

Day 12: Departure from Windhoek

After breakfast, drive to the international airport, return your rental vehicle, and check in for your onward or homeward flight.
We wish you a pleasant journey!
